Synopsis

Hiding The Truth

Coming home might be the worst decision Carly Baron has ever made. Each minute on her family's busy ranch is one minute closer to seeing him—her first love—the man who broke her heart seven years ago. While coming face-to-face with Luke Nobel again brings back painful memories, Carly quickly realizes there are other strong feelings just under the surface….

Luke would be a lot better off if Carly had stayed away. Being a single dad to an adorable two-year-old girl and managing the Roughneck is tough enough, but resisting the sparks that fly whenever he and Carly are together is near impossible. But first she must tell him her secret. The truth could heal their past…or forever destroy their chances of becoming a family.

My Review
This has to be one of the sweetest Romances I have had the pleasure to review. First of who can go wrong with a really good cowboy story written on a ranch. I loved how this plot line was such a big pull on the family side . Family seems to be the main focus of this plot line and I for once absolutely loved it . Once again the characters manage to blow you out of the water this series just gets better with every book . This one is all about second chances with a love that is lost once but rediscovered again ,
Carly is such a head strong character and its hard not to have a real love /hate relationship with this girl . But she has her reasons for the way she acts . She puts on a tough front in front of her family but Luke can see right through that little game she seems to have going on . She tries to act like she is the wild child and everyone in her family believe that . But deep down she is only looking to try and fit into the world , To find her place and where she belongs. Luke knows she belongs with him but will she ever realise the same ?
Luke is the boy from the wrong side of the tracks who has had to fight extremely hard for what he has in life . He has grown up poor and had nothing growing up and is trying to become the man he has always wanted to be. He feel in love with Carly as a young adult but things changed and they found themselves apart . Life moves on and he gets married and has a baby girl . Carly's father has an accident and this brings her home to tend to her fathers needs . When she comes home she realises that her first love Luke is the farm manager and she finds this extremely hard to deal with , as she is still in love the man . Thing happen and the pair finds themselves fighting against there feelings for one another . Will love find a way ? Or will this pair be doomed from the start ?
The author Barbara's writing is fantastic she has a way of making you feel as though you are right there in the story . And doesn't really leave you hanging for the next story . Although I for one can not wait for its release .
